I have a passion for typography, interaction and visual design, and have spent the last 5 years exploring how they can be used to solve a broad range of problems.

I’m currently working at Signal Noise (Part of the Economist Group) as a Senior Designer. This website, however, showcases my personal work and side projects done in my spare time.

Don’t Drop

Don't Drop is a House and Techno club night in the legendary Sub Club, Glasgow. I designed a logo, identity and large format posters for their events and promotions.

The digital version of the logo is an animated mark that uses 123 weight combinations of Muir McNeil's 'Intersect B' typeface. A selection of combinations are used as printed marks. Posters and promotional material use a typographic system where the logo and supporting information is varied in placement but uniform in execution. This gives it the necessary consistency to become recognisable on posters, sitting on top of the main typographic artwork itself, which in turn is very loose and expressive.
